ARENA 09 - THE MUSEUM

The Tributes are woken up early for this Arena, and switched from whatever sleeping attire they're currently in to a set of pajamas, each designed for the individual in questions. Women wear onesies, and most of the men wear two-pieces, but other than that any similarities are at random - the outfits are in all sorts of colors and patterns.

The floor of the helicopter taking them to their Arena location, and of the underground entrance to the tubes that hoist them to the surface, will feel cold under their bare feet.

Rather than bringing them to sunlight, like the tubes have in the past, instead the Tributes are presented to a dark concrete ceiling in a badly-lit parking lot. Fluorescent lights do little to illuminate the cavernous space.

The countdown begins, announced as if from far away.

The Cornucopia, a ghastly thing carved from stone and concrete, sits at the center of a pattern of white and yellow lines reminiscent of spots for parked cars. The painted lines create a sort of spoked wheel, providing lanes for the Tributes leading to the prizes at the center. Some of the more unfortunate Tributes will find the concrete architecture has placed pillars in their lanes.

Six parked cars lie around the outskirts of the huge lot, barely visible in the dim lighting. Glowing exit signs on two opposite sides of the chamber announce where Tributes should go to escape the bloodbath. Elevator doors are perched beneath them.

The gong rings out, and the countdown's voice announces "the Arena is now open". The Games have begun.

Lindsey used to be a lawyer, politically correct was very important.

His eyebrows attempted to meet his hairline and he waved a finger between Gabriel and the statue. There was something haunted that flashed in Lindsey's gaze though. "You and him, from the same world? This is back when you're an angel, I take it."

Gabriel notices the look, but doesn't make the right connection. In fact, he believes that Dean didn't make the greatest of impressions with Lindsey... Which, honestly, given the guy's track record, wasn't exactly a very big leap in logic.

"I'm still an angel," he grumbled, "but yeah. Sorta kinda ended up dying for his sorry ass. Emphasis on the sorta kinda part." There was also Kali... And Sam and humanity and all of that, yeah. "At least his better half didn't end up here, too. Don't see his statue, at least."

This brought a few more questions to light, seeing as Dean was apparently here before... This head full of questions thing was really super annoying.

"Ah, right." And a skeptical expression to show he totally did not understand nor did he find Gabriel awfully convincing. "So you died before you came here too... that makes sense." Strangely, to Lindsey, who also came here after death, that seemed to make the most sense compared to everything else.

"These guys are only the ones who came and left. They were here, and now they're not. No one really knows what happened to them." Lindsey shrugged and wandered off to the next tribute.

He considered stealing some of the clothes here, but he wasn't too fond of the other costumes either.

Lindsey was free to think whatever he wanted, especially concerning Gabriel's past with the Winchesters. It wasn't exactly something he liked to dwell on.

"You, too, huh? It doesn't seem to be too rare of a thing." Yet, what Lindsey says next is a tad bit troubling. No one knows what happened to them? He looks around at all the others there. Perhaps it was the same thing that had happened to him. Perhaps they were just... momentarily gone or something.

He looked back to Dean. Or something. "How long ago did he vanish? Was he acting funny? High and mighty or something?" Random questions followed by a very serious look about the Trickster.

Excuse him if he's wondering whether or not he was the only archangel here. Definitely gonna have to go back and check up on old Dean-o.
