Who| Anna and Elsa
What| Anna has something important to say, and she does it the only way she knows how--snowmen.
Where| The little meadow.
When| Week 2, early.
Warnings/Notes| Nah
It's been a week in the Arena already, and Anna still hasn't found her sister. The good news is, she hasn't seen her picture in the sky at night so far, so as far as Anna knows, Elsa is safe. The younger Arendelle sister has been mostly spending time with Bro, watching each others' backs. Making sure neither got into too much trouble. But after a week, Anna's still feeling pretty gross about the way she left things with Elsa last Arena. But she's got a plan, as all good princesses should. It takes her some time--about a full day in the little meadow on the edge of the Arena, and when she's done she's sweaty even in the cold, but she steps back and admires her handiwork. It's two snow women--her and Elsa, to be precise. 'Snowman' is sort of a generalization here, however. They're more like snow sculptures, to be exact. They're far from perfect, but definitely recognizable. Elsa with her braid and her sweeping gown, Anna looking adoring beside from her.
That done, all she needs to do is find her sister.
Armed with her spear and the blanket Bro had been sent thrown around her shoulders, Anna goes off in search. It takes her almost the whole next day, but it's still light out when Anna comes up on the lake and sees the unmistakable silhouette of her sister crouched out in the middle.
"Elsa? Elsa!" She's running toward her, slipping on the ice but not even caring, she's so relieved.

But for a week, she's failed. Is Anna safe? Is she with allies? Is she with- well... him? Elsa doesn't want to think of that being the possibility, because it would mean Anna is more interested in that than sticking with her. She can only hope though, that where Anna is, she's safe. But eventually, hunger takes over and Elsa has to stop her relentless searching in order to try and find food.
The first thing she thinks of is ice fishing. It seems cliche that the ice queen would ice fish, but that doesn't mean she's particularly good at it. It's taken a lot of effort to carve out a hole in the ice, but as it turns out actually getting a fish is another thing entirely. She's got a spear made out of a branch and ever so often, she plunges it in the water when she sees movement- only to pull it out with nothing on it.
"Oh, da-" she starts to say, but her curse is cut off by the sound of her name being called, and the voice is familiar. She nearly gives herself whiplash at how fast she turns her head in the direction of Anna's voice, her eyes going wide. Immediately, she drops the spear and stands up. "Anna!" she says, her stomach jolting as she sees Anna slipping her way forward. The last thing she needs is her sister falling and hurting herself, that would be a bit too much like deja vu. "Slow down, I- I'll come to you!" She's already making her way forward, moving on the ice far better than Anna ever could.

Anna looks up into Elsa's face finally, cheeks pink with cold and her expression sheepish. "Elsa, I'm so sorry. I should have come and found you sooner, but--well, I've got something to show you! Will you come?"
no subject
"I'm glad you're safe," Elsa says in reply, studying Anna just as hard. Her sister seems safe- really well, even. A far cry different than she was the previous arena when Elsa had seen her for the first time.
Fortunately for Anna, Elsa's happiness makes it easy to forgive her, and she just shakes her head. "No, it's fine- I'm just glad we found each other now." She swallows, before nodding. "But of course I'll come with you, why wouldn't I?" It's tempting to ask Anna where she's been this entire time, but a part of her feels like she knows already and she doesn't want to sully the moment, so she'll just leave it for later.

"Really? Ohmygosh, alright, let's go! Hurry, hurry!" She'd hate for anyone to discover her surprise in the meantime and mess it up, after all. She laughs, tugging at Elsa's hand. "Tell me what you've been up to while we walk!"
no subject
"Me? Well, nothing special, I- slow down-" her voice is breathy, but it sounds a little amused as Anna keeps leading them on. "Life hasn't been particularly exciting for me since... well." Elsa shrugs dismissively, but the truth is during their fight, she hasn't really had anyone to hang out with except for Dave. It's been a bit lonely, so she's mostly focused on training. "What about you?" she asks.
no subject
"Oh. Right! Me too, really. It's been--" She purses her lips. "I missed you, a lot." It's true. They haven't had a fight since Anna came back to the Capitol, but even she knows that the argument they'd had was bad. Thankfully, it seems they're both so happy to see each other that the aftershocks have faded away. Maybe they just needed some time.
Before long, they've made the trek to the small meadow; as they come through the trees, Anna insists on walking behind Elsa with her hands over her eyes. "Not much...farther--there!" They break through into the clearing, in the middle of which sit the two snow-sisters. Anna drops her hands and bounds off to stand beside the snow-Anna. "Tadaa!"

"I- Anna-" she says, when her sister insists on covering her eyes, laughing a little nervously. "I'm going to trip-" But she makes it, fortunately, and when they finally stop and Anna uncovers her eyes, Elsa's eyes zero right in on Anna's creations.
The emotions that hit her are overwhelming. She's happy, of course, but there's guilt, too. It just suddenly hits her how silly it is to fight, to let something come between them. Tears prick at her eyes, and she sniffs a little. "Oh..." This isn't what she expected at all, and it shows, but soon enough she smiles. "This is wonderful, Anna."
no subject
"I just--I wanted to show you that no matter what, nothing can come between us. Not any Arena, not any man, nothing. You and me, we're all we have left of home." She squeezes Elsa's hands, gently, her look turning a bit pleading. "I'm not asking you to like it or understand it, me and Bro. I'm not even asking you to be happy for us. All I'm asking is that you accept it, okay?" She bites her lip. "I don't want to fight over anything as silly as a boy. You're still the most important person to me."
no subject
But it's the last bit that really gets to her, and it makes all argument die in her throat. Anna is right. It's silly, and they shouldn't let something like this get in the way of their relationship. They're sisters, family. She shouldn't empower Bro to come between them, that's just not right. "You're the most important person to me, too," she says, and finally the tears prickling in her eyes spill over and she pulls Anna into a tight hug. "You're absolutely right. I'm so sorry for letting it come between us."
no subject
So when Elsa finally replies, and Anna sees tears in her eyes, she can only smile, her own eyes welling up despite her best intentions. And oh, thank goodness, Elsa is hugging her. Anna melts gratefully into her sister's embrace, squeezing her with a happy little sound of content. "It's okay," she warbles, trying and failing not to actually cry. "It's not your fault. I was--I was so stubborn," she admits with a laugh. "I think it runs in the family. But I love you, Els."
no subject
"I love you too," she says. "From the bottom of my heart." She turns back to the snowmen, taking a few steps towards them. "You," she says, forcing a cheer to her voice, so they can move away from heavy subjects, "Are much, much better at building snowmen than I am."
no subject
"Oh, nonsense," she replies. "Mine don't talk, or anything!" Anna grins, thinking of Olaf. She misses him, she really does. She misses everyone back home.
