A promise
Who| Pruna and Wyatt
What| Pruna is good to her word about protecting Wyatt, surprising everyone including herself
Where| District one part
When| Very near the end
Warnings/Notes| Death
So far Pruna hadn't done too well. She was still alive and uninjured past a few scrapes. But she had lost all the tokens she had managed to grab, stupid Harley and her stupid friend.
She had one made of wood that she had managed to gather since then but she was very aware that she was running out of time.
And she still hadn't found Wyatt. For all his words about meeting on high ground, it was stupid when there was none and this was a maze and she was lost from herself most of the time.
She turned another corner, checking for danger first, continuing to move and never staying still despite the fact she was hungry and thirsty and tired. She couldn't give up, if she didn't win this she would die for real die, and she didn't want that. Not at all.

When her eyes went back to the front they widened at what was ahead. "It do be being ice, like at the motorcycling racing."

"Somethin' tells me it ain't goin' to be as easy as jus' crossin'," he muttered, measuring the distance with a tip of his head.
Already picturing it breaking as they crossed. Of being trapped in ice, skewered in a pit, drowning -- whatever was waiting beneath.
Reaching out, he rested his free hand on her shoulder. "Let me go first. If it holds me, ya should be alright."
