Mini Arena 1

The mood is strange, even for an arena. Every stylist is different, of course, but this arena has thrown people for a loop, and they adjust to them differently.

25 - 24 - 23

The clothes are simple, and the tribute are loaded up quickly. Obviously the stylist have been informed what to tell them, what warnings to give. That there will be two sounds, one for a murdered death and one for an accidental one.

20 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 16

The platforms lift them up, and they are in a tight ring, all facing outwards, in a courtyard ringed by a tall stone wall. To one side is a ring of weapons laid out, brutal looking things. To the other is a ring of supply bags. The pedestals all sit directly in the middle. And beyond them a series of entrances to the maze beyond.

11- 10 - 9 - 8

They've all been warned, don't step off your pedestal early. They have also been warned to put on a good show. Don't kill yourself off, and make sure not to be in the arena when the time ends, without having won. Or else you might not be coming back.

The sound of the gong plays crystal clear across the opening. Let the games begin.

((OOC-feel free to play out cornucopia here, and then start your own threads just like any other arena. There is still some OOC plotting going around, so I am going to say there are 10 people murdered and the arena lasts 22 hours.))

The smiling is assuring, at least. Terezi lifts the bag from her shoulder to show it off properly. "Bag. I figured there's not a lot of incentive to get sliced up trying to grab on of those weapons. This one isn't a killing game, after all. Not really."

Though killing would probably grant them an advantage--both with time and supplies, Terezi has never been one to toss a life under the bus for her own needs. There's going to be enough people doing that, anyway.

"There's some food and water in it. And a med kit thing. Yours?"

"The same." He glances back toward the way she'd come. "Did ya see anythin' promisin' on your way?"

"Nope. Just black, black, and more black. An endless void of nothingness--which isn't much different from a blind girl's typical view." Now is probably the worst time to be making jokes, but she honestly can't resist baiting a new person with her disability.

"But let's be honest here. It's a maze. I don't think that any one part of it is going to be any more interesting than any other part of it. Except maybe for the parts where we find those tokens. And I wouldn't be standing here teasing you if I'd found one of those, now would I?"

"You're...?" He trails off, biting back anger. They threw a blind kid in this mess?! "How the hell've ya been survivin' the bloodbath?"

He chokes on a laugh at the rest of what she has to say, though. "Ya might be. Makin' me wait ta hear if ya got 'em. It's what..." He trails off again. It's what Parker would do. Except she's gone and he doesn't know if she's dead or worse.

"Please! Blind doesn't mean useless. I can smell my way around just fine. These arenas are practically cake-walks compared to my home world." Which doesn't exactly explain why she hasn't won one yet, but Terezi figures you could chalk that up to some kind of ego. Whatever the viewers wanted to think, that was fine by her. Just as long as they didn't realize the truth: That she wasn't really in it to win.

She's not sure what exactly he was about to say, so she cocks her head at him a little and raises a brow. "That would be indescribably cruel of me to hold out on you for the sake of a joke!" She grins at him, flashing sharp teeth but good humor. "I'll have to make sure to do it, if I get the chance."
