Roland grunts, having noted all that - most interestingly, the part where Signless identifies himself as of Panem - but puts it all away for now. Later, he'll think briefly on what sounded something like a human name. Later, he'll translate sweeps into years and realize that Signless, who he does not quite think of as his lover, is only a few years older than a man who may've once called Roland father.
